A legacy of pioneering developments
Rosie Dominguez’s journey with Alsons Dev is marked by a series of groundbreaking projects that have redefined residential living in Davao City. One of her earliest achievements was the relaunch of the real estate developer’s maiden residential project, Ladislawa, into Ladislawa Garden Village. This development became Davao’s first themed residential community and the first subdivision in the city with country club facilities, setting a high benchmark for subsequent projects.
In 1994, the inauguration of Woodridge Park in Maa, Davao City further solidified Alsons Dev’s reputation for delivering exceptional living environments. This success was followed by the 1997 launch of Las Terrazas, Davao’s premier ridge development, which further enhanced the company’s standing as a leading real estate developer in the city.
From 2006 to 2010, Alsons Dev unveiled more landmark residential projects: Northcrest, Fernwood, and Wood Lane, and Eden Ridge. These developments provided high-quality living spaces and integrated sustainable and community-focused designs, reflecting Rosie’s commitment to excellence.
Recognizing the evolving needs of the city, Rosie led Alsons Dev’s transformative journey with the establishment of a dynamic township, Northtown, in 2013. Three years later, Alsons Dev broadened its offerings, launching a new mid-cost housing brand, Nurtura Land and Home, with Narra Park Residences as the maiden project.
The recent opening of Poblacion Market Central expanded the real estate developer’s portfolio, enhancing Davao City’s local shopping and dining scene with handcrafted Mindanaoan products, fresh retail concepts, and Dabawenyos’ favorite food finds. Poblacion Market Central is the new home of the shops from the Aldevinco Shopping Center, Davao City’s pioneering shopping center from Alsons Dev that operated from 1965 to 2021.
Following this, the real estate developer branched out beyond Davao City with the development of its master-planned, mixed-use township Avia Estate and Narra Park Residences Avia in Alabel, Sarangani, demonstrating Alsons Dev’s ability to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of the market.
Building success and celebrating excellence
Rosie’s exceptional leadership didn’t go unnoticed as Alsons Dev earned numerous recognitions under her guidance. From 2020 to present, the property developer was named one of the top real estate developer partners at the BPI Partners Appreciation Night, with the company being honored as one of the top local developers in terms of title delivery and production.
Additionally, Narra Park Residences — the company’s inaugural project under its Nurtura Land and Home — was awarded Best Housing Development in Metro Davao at the 11th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2023. Narra Park Residences was also commended as the Affordable House of the Year in Visayas and Mindanao at The Outlook 2023: Philippine Real Estate Awards by Lamudi.
Meanwhile, Northtown Residences was bestowed the title of Highly Commended for both Best Subdivision Development at the 11th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2023, and as the Best Mixed-Use Development (Visayas & Mindanao) at The Outlook 2023: Philippine Real Estate Awards by Lamudi, further demonstrating the company’s versatility and excellence in various real estate sectors.
Passing the torch
Rosie’s impact transcends individual projects and awards. Her dedication has been instrumental in firmly establishing Alsons Dev as the leading real estate developer in Davao City. She fostered a strong and competent organization within the property developer, ensuring its continued success. Her leadership shaped Alsons Dev to what is today; a company synonymous with quality, reliability, strong investment value, and great design that sets new benchmarks for Davao’s real estate sector.

As she retires, Rosie’s son — Miguel Rene A. Dominguez — takes the helm as the new President and CEO of Alsons Dev. The young Dominguez has previously held various key roles within the Alcantara Group group of companies, bringing a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to his new position.
