Alsons Dev extends help to the community amidst COVID-19 crisis

Three hundred sets of coverall suits were delivered to SPMC last April 14. The COVID-19 crisis has greatly affected the lives of many all over the world. It has taken a toll on people’s lives especially the vulnerable sectors of society such as the health care workers and the economically disadvantaged. As part of the company’s commitment to provide support to those in need, Alsons Dev organized relief efforts in order to mitigate the effects of the pandemic to the vulnerable sectors. One of our major beneficiaries is Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) and its front liners. Alsons Dev and Alsons Dev employees, through the Alsons Dev Employees Fund (AEF), donated coverall suits and face shields for the health care workers of SPMC. The company also provided a PUI quarantine tent and 10 sacks of rice for the institution. In response to the needs of our neighboring communities, Alsons Dev also donated packed goods to the residents of Brgy. 4-A, Davao City. The staff of Kap. Rogelio A. Nocom received packed goods for the volunteers and barangay tanods of Brgy. 4-A. Our Sarangani and Gensan Operations office also turned over disposable face masks to support the front liners in the construction and infrastructure sector of Alabel, Sarangani Province. Richlie Lyndon Magtulis, AGM for Sarangani and Alabel Operations, turned over disposable face masks to DPWH Sarangani District Engineer Jonathan Bantug. Alsons Dev Celebrates Christmas and Honors Service Awardees

The spirit of giving inspired this year’s company Christmas party. Instead of the usual elaborate celebration, a simple checkered-theme gathering was held at The Club Pavilion at Northtown in Cabantian, Davao City for all employees last December 17.   Reverend Father Dionisio Tabiliran presiding over the holy mass. The program began with a Thanksgiving Mass followed by the recognition of employees who have served the company for five years or more. Alsons Dev’s Vice President & General Manager, Eric D. de la Costa, gave a short message before presenting plaques of appreciation to the various awardees who were accompanied by their family. Special video presentations were also made for those awardees who garnered more than five years of service. Sharing a spot for their 20 years of dedicated office were Vice President & General Manager Eric D. de la Costa and Assistant General Manager Management Services Group, Amado C. Bernardino. Last but not least were the awardees who celebrated their silver jubilee (25 years) at Alsons Dev. These employees were none other than Sr. Project Officer Jeannette P. Cabaya, Sr. Club Operations Supervisor Cecile A. Fabroa, and Sr. Cashier Marites M. Ancog. Project Engineer Donnie M. Delapuz giving his meaningful address.
